New Moon In Gemini - June 19th

During the New Moon the Sun is in the same Sign and Degree as the Moon. New Moon’s are all about beginnings and setting intentions that will manifest during the Full Moon. We have been dealing with a lot of Gemini energy this month, including Jupiter entering the sign of the twins on June 11th. Mercury lord of communication, entered watery Cancer on June 7th creating highly emotional overtones in terms of the way we speak and communicate with others.  The way we think may be more empathic and sensitive in nature and thinking of the past (Including past hurts) may be coloring our moods more than usual. Cancer is associated with security, home and nurturing and these themes may be taking center stage.

Mercury in Cancer Squares Saturn in Libra creating language barriers and negative thinking. This energy can be used positively, giving us the energy to define our ideas (Mercury) with discipline (Saturn). We could also be dealing with the “voice” of authority when it comes to partnerships and who we interact with on a personal level. Gemini is linked to communication, and I think for the past few weeks we have been dealing with strange energy in terms of how we relate and interact with each other.

On June 11th when Jupiter begins it’s year long voyage through the sign of the twins there will be new refreshing energy on the communication front despite the tension and difficulties we’ll be dealing with. Jupiter will be approaching a conjunction to Venus creating new opportunities especially for those in fields such as writing,education and all forms of communication. This New Moon will be close to the Summer Solstice on June 20th as well. The Celts celebrated the first day of Summer with dancing and bonfires to assist in increasing the Sun’s energy. The Chinese honored this time of the year by honoring the Goddess Li the Goddess of Light. Use this New Moon energy to create a list of New Moon hopes and wishes that are associated with Gemini: Writing, all forms of communication and exploring are just a few suggestions.

Venus ends her Rx period on June 27th . Retrograde periods are often the perfect time to turn inward and reflect. With Venus stationing direct we may have a major “Ah Ha!” moment that gives us much clarity. Venus Sextiles groundbreaking Uranus in Aries, allowing us to be creative, unconventional and open to new ideas. This is a breath of fresh air considering all of the heavy energy we’ve been dealing with this month, especially during the Sagittarius Lunar Eclipse on June 4th. This New Moon also Trines Neptune and Saturn giving us the emotional stability and inspiration we need in order to build alliances and relationships. We are definitely ready to move forward in a big way, and this New Moon will give us the extra push we need,
